MMSC #40

I found this dp at Wisconsin Craft Market. Each sheet is kind of like a hologram. I just thought it was pretty and would make a pretty card. The hologram aspect of it though made it difficult to work with because it actually is hard on the eyes. I used the sketch from this week's Midnight Madness sketch challenge. I really like how it all came together. I am thinking of using it as hubby's v-day card, but not sure since it is not traditional red and white. I have time today to stamp, instead of cleaning the house, so I might try to put a more masculine card and v-dayish card together. He ran down to Madison to go buy new dress pants and a sports coat. I guess I need to stop typing and get to work!
P.s. I would appreciate it if you'd scroll down 2 posts and take a look (hint, hint to write a comment) at the card I made for Art Impression's February challenge.
Thanks for looking everybody! I sure do enjoy reading your comments.

  3. Karen, what a nice Tilda, she looks great in orange! I think she's tired of the snow and dressing up in brighter colors to encourage the sun. The paper is pretty although I can see what you mean about it being a bit difficult to work with.

  4. I found your blog..hehe.. I love this card. How did you ever photograph it.. I have never seen paper like this. She is so sweet and I think he would love it. I can't believe how close you are from my hometown in IL. Great job on this card..Your cards are always awesome.

  5. Hey I just got to say this is a WOWZER card for sure. I am frightened and intimidated by Orange-but I am coming out of my boring colors and am going to try it after seeing this beauty!!! This is beyond gorgeous. You have inspired me to jump out of my comfort zone. Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge.
