Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Call Submission

This is my submission for the Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Call for July 2009.

The challenge is a sketch challenge of having 3 circles (or any shape) in the layout see with a stripe of something behind it and a small something on the center shape. I bought this patterned paper at Michael's awhile ago to make a card for my dear dork sister, Vikki Jo. Vikki Jo is afraid of butterflies (she's a dork, what can I say?) so the rest of the dork sisters like to poke fun at her for that. I never did use this paper for her card because it wasn't going with what was in my mind. I think an earlier posting a page or two back will have the card I made her. So, anyway, here's this lovely paper sitting and waiting for me to make a card. As soon as I saw this challenge I knew this paper and my new Beautiful Butterflies set would go well together. It took me the better part of the morning to get this right. I had the most difficult time with the embossing, but finally! I got it right. It doesn't show up in the picture, but the butterflies are embossed with black glitter to match the glitter paper and each is on pop dots. The big one has it's wings folded up a bit to give the idea of motion.

Paper: pattern paper from Michael's, Vanilla
Ribbon: gift from my dork sister, Beth

Hey! Thanks for looking!
Now give me some lovin' and leave a comment!

Happy Birthday, Berly!

I had just received my new stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps and I had to play with them. Here is my card for my friend, Berly (pronounced, Barley). I combined the mini silhouette scapes and Just Shellin' stamp sets.
