Here's another sock I just started. I saw the sock on the cover of Sensational Knitted Socks and really liked it. I usually do not use the yarn nor the color specified in a pattern. I just had to on this one though. This is Lorna's Laces in Pine and neon. I would never have paired these two skeins together if I hadn't seen it in this sock. I wasn't thinking when I bought the yarn. I was thinking that I would be fine with one skein each to make the socks. After I got the yarn I realized that I would be knitting the sock in fair isle so I'd be using both skeins at the same time. That means I most likely will need another two skeins. YIKES!

ReplyDeleteNext time I come see you, you're going to teach me fair isle knitting, no questions asked. That looks super pretty. Where did you get the LL yarn, at our favorite shop in Janesville or online? I looked for it around here and cannot find it. BUT, thanks to your recent posts, I am working on finishing DDs birthday socks that I was going to give her LAST April . . .but that was before the 'big house move.' Okay, enough rambling, I would never have combined those two colors either, but they look great!
