As for the main image, I have been waiting to do something like this for awhile. I included the picture below to show that there are three layers to the main image. I stamped the snowman, then masked to stamp the row of houses. I stamped the snowmen again, colored them and used pop dots to lift them off the page. Then I stamped the fence and doubled the pop dots to make the fence pop out from the snowman.
I like how the triangle panels add more image space to the image and it completes my winter wonderland theme!
I was going to give this card to my BFF for her birthday, which was on Monday, but now I don't know! I like it too much (perspective off and all!!)

Karen it is okay to keep a card you love...hey there is always next year, assuming you used the right adhesive!! This is super cute and even though the alignment is not "right" I do see a whole bunch of depth of field and creativity here!
ReplyDeleteKaren I can't tell you how much I love this card. I think it is quite clever and I love the prospective. The scene is superb and just a delight to look at. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Midnight Madness. Good luck on winning one of the prizes this week.

This is such a fun scene your created with the sketch Karen!! Love how you incorporated every part of the scene into each element of the layout. Fab card!! Thanks for playing with the MMSC this week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super sweet image...I just love the little snow people behind the fence! You have captured the perfect winter wonderland scene with the background dp, background image and all the little details....fabulous job with the sketch. I studied interior design so know about perspective but you know what....correct or not...it doesn't matter in this respect...it's your card and you go with what feels right...and go ahead and keep it...frame it!!! It's just beautiful!
